Q. I'm posting an ad on Craigslist, and my dad downloaded Linux Mint (Dumbest program ever!), and I don't know how to get pictures off of the SD Card that I have plugged in. How do I retrieve the pictures off of the SD card on Linux Mint?
Thank you!
Thank you!
A. Whichever photo manager is installed on your version of Mint (most likely F-Spot, but possibly Shotwell) should be set to open once a drive with photo media is detected. Your father may not have set that up when he installed Mint, so maybe that's why it didn't launch.
You'll have to manually launch the photo manager, and after that it's simple to import the files to the "Photos" folder in Nautilus.

How can i install the new linux mint and pclinux os with out a cd/dvd or a flash drive?
Q. Do you guys know of any good tutorials to download linux mint and pclinuxos with out a cd dvd or falsh drive i need a good tutorial im new to this :)
A. If you do not wish to tamper with a real system, you may try Virtual Box by Oracle. In that case you will not need any CD/DVD or Flash Drive either.
Just download the CD image and mount it on a virtual CD/DVD ROM like Daemon Tools.

How do I play Windows games in Linux Mint?
Q. I just installed Linux Mint 13 on my computer and I would like to play some Windows games on it. I downloaded Wine onto my system but how do I use it? How do I use software I downloaded using the Software Manager?
A. Your best bet is Play on Linux (which uses WINE)
MOST games can run on linux, but you have to mount them as a disk (if they are from ISO)
And just install them they should install all needed windows dependencies and there very few games I have been unable to get running on Linux
Summary, Just install them normally, you may have to open the setup.exe in wine, but you should be fine from there.
