Multiple Windows? How to Get More than 1 Windows Type On My Computer?
Q. I really need to know how to get Windows XP, Vista, Linux and ubuntu all on the same computer....is there a way to get all of those on and when i restart my computer i get to chose which one i want to go on to?????

A. Check out the links.

It's very easy, but make sure you have enough RAM (I have 3GB, it's plenty) and a video card is important, you'll need to be able to use multiple workspaces/desktops I think - seamless works, but it's best to run them full screen and switch screens.

Of course it's nice to have windows apps running on a ubuntu desktop, and most of the time it works great - but if you want to use windows and have access to the video card, then first install XP (smallish 30 to 40GB C: drive) and then follow with Vista (similar, 40 to 50GB C: drive) and then create a third STORAGE partition (NTFS) that you can use for communal files/backups and stuff. Leave space for Ubuntu (another 50GB). Maybe it's cheap enough to throw in a 500GB drive now....

Anyway, there you have it - you can triple boot them, or boot Ubuntu and open XP AND VISTA and run Yahoo Messenger in Vista next to Internet Explorer in XP next to Firefox in ubuntu!

So much fun.

If you have two disks, set the swap partition on the other drive. Use ext3 filesystem (safest and best supported) and first try out Virtualbox (I recommend NOT the OSE version in synaptic)

In ubuntu make sure you go to the gnome theme site and check out the following amazing themes/parts:

Sunday (the one in my cylinder screenshot, brushed steel/gold buttons)
OS V - wow
Darkwood
Mint
Royale-Murrine

Good luck, especially with Vista.

Have fun, zip a file and unzip it first with Vista, then with XP and then with ubuntu - it's funny. One guy put a video on Utube.

does any body Know how ican transfer a movie to my psp?
Q. i want to know if it is any posibility to transfer movie to psp i really thanks to any one.

A. It is absolutely possible but it is going to take a lot of time (3 -5 hours). There is an open source freeware, Handbrake, which can convert DVD movies to videos files that can play on a PSP. Handbrake was originally developed for Mac's but there is a Windows version as well.

"Open source, free video ripper software Handbrake for Mac OS X and Linux is now available for Windows." --Lifehacker.com

"Wanna convert a DVD to an MPEG-4 or H.264 (MP4, AVI, or OGM) file to watch on your computer or share with friends? Handbrake is your friend. You can also save a DVD movie to your iPod or PSP with Handbrake. After you unzip the app on Windows, launch the wxHB.exe file to run it. Free download." --Lifehacker.com (http://www.lifehacker.com/software/downloads/download-of-the-day-handbrake-dvd-ripper-152498.php)

The direct link to download the programs is:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/tivo-mplayer/HandBrake-0.7.0-GUIAndCLI-20060115.zip?use_mirror=kent

There is a user forum if you need help using Handbrake. Have fun!
